Crocodiles of the World, Witney

If you like this blog you can get it as an app, here, for free.

This place is well worth a visit! It doesn't only have crocodiles - there are all sorts of animals, from meerkats to monkeys, snakes to tortoises, but there are also many, many crocs.

The new location for this sanctuary is in the countryside, just outside Witney at Brize Norton, and really is a pleasure to drive to.  Here is the google map.

Opening times can be found here

There is plenty of parking. We went in the half term but it wasn't that busy.

It is possible to have your photo taken holding an alligator, which my daughter did. There were animal handling sessions were children could touch the reptiles.

There is also a restaurant inside. It is very small and quite hot, but there are also some spaces to sit outside, immediately outside the restaurant and in the playground area between the two main buildings.

The playground provides a nice distraction for very little ones: my son enjoyed himself there as much as he did looking at the animals.
